Food Sensitivity Testing
To optimize wellness and weight control, blood analysis is used to identify food sensitivities and develop individualized diet plans
The Right Food May Be Wrong For You
Eating the “right foods,” such as fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, fish and poultry, may be wrong for you. Why? Because you may be sensitive to some of these foods and they could be causing your chronic symptoms. Thousands of people have already benefited from identifying their food sensitivities, and so could you.
What Are Food Sensitivities?
Food sensitivities are delayed immune reactions to foods. They can cause a variety of chronic symptoms which you might never think could be linked to foods you are consuming every day. The following health problems and others may be alleviated when you identify and eliminate reactive foods:
- Overweight
- Joint Pains
- Sinus Problems
- Depression
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Skin Rashes
- Indigestion
- Achy Muscles
- Fluid Retention
True food allergies are immediate, strong reactions to foods and other substances that often result in hives or difficulty breathing. Most patients know to which foods they react immediately. Food sensitivities are delayed reactions which can occur anywhere from a few hours to a few days after exposure to the reactive food. As such, they are very difficult to detect without sophisticated scientific testing.
How Are Food Sensitivities Treated?
Many food sensitivities are usually temporary. They typically disappear when the reactive food is eliminated from the diet for 60 to 90 days. Quite often, they may be reintroduced into the diet without recurrence of symptoms after this time. The most effective way of preventing food sensitivities from occurring is to rotate, combine, and cook foods properly. Sometimes an imbalance in intestinal bacteria can contribute to food sensitivities.
